Do you see that smile?

That's a satisfied customer who just tanked up on
some good old Mother's milk.

Well, this is our newest addition on the farm.  Her
name is "Zaidy."  She gave me a bit of a shocker
this evening as I arrived home and sauntered back
to the paddock only  to find an extra set of ears
dozing in the warm sunlight.  I immediately dropped
everything and ran to my car and got my phone.
I ran toward the paddock and then realized I
needed to get on some farm footwear.  I ran back
to the porch, put the little dog in, changed my
shoes, ran back out to the paddock, and jumped
up and down while I screamed into the phone that
"we have another baby!"  The neighbors must
think I'm a nut.

And what a baby.  This kid totally looks the part.
She's got her father's bold head and her mother's
long legs.  She's like a movie star.  No wonder she
was born the same day as a famous screen star,
Greta Garbo.  And of course, her mom has milk
enough for an army - and they certainly had plenty
of time for bonding (Zaidy was dry and fluffy by the
time I got home.)  We are very fortunate indeed.
Have another piece of apple pie on us - this
September baby is just dandy.

Sometimes, when your head is stuck in the past or flying on
fast-forward into the future, you miss out on all of the amazing
things right in front of you. Deal with the people, places and
things that are in your present today. Someone wants to make
a deeper connection with you, but they can't get your attention
long enough to make any inroads. So slow down today and let
conversations drag on ... keep talking and sharing, and you'll
keep encouraging a very cool person.
the year...
I caught Zaidy for pictures
on a misty afternoon - her
first time in the South
pasture area, where the
grass is really greener.  She
had a great time romping
around, trying to distract her
mom from eating...
